Overview

Kalsubai Trek is one of the most popular trekking routes of Maharashtra where trekkers are taken to the highest peak at an altitude of around 5,400 feet above sea level. The hike is popular among nature lovers, photographers, and adventure-seekers, offering a chance to explore the stunning landscapes of the Sahyadri mountain ranges, which are nearby.

The path winds through picturesque farmland, through woods and across rocky sections and iron ladders to aid the trekking party in safely climbing over steep terrain. Kalsubai is a good destination for both novices and experts and is the perfect weekend getaway from Mumbai, Pune and Nashik. Strolling along the way, one can experience the cool mountain air, abundant greenery and the stunning views of the valley.

A major attraction of the hike is the spectacular sunrise that can be enjoyed from the top. Visitors who take to the mountains in the early morning will be treated with breathtaking vistas of golden sunlight touching the Sahyadris, and clouds can sometimes be seen hovering below the top. The trails are misted during the monsoon and post-monsoon season, waterfalls flow during that time, and the colorful landscapes further enhance the experience.

Kalsubai Temple, which is dedicated to Kalsubai Devi, is located at the summit and is visited by trekkers and devotees all year round. The views from the top are breathtaking, stretching out to prominent peaks and forts, such as Alang, Madan, Kulang, and Harishchandragad, and Bhandardara region.

The Kalsubai Trek is a perfect amalgamation of adventure, spirituality and natural beauty, and is an experience you will never forget. From thrilling mountain trails to stunning photography spots, or the satisfaction of reaching the peak of Maharashtra, Kalsubai offers a memorable and rewarding trekking experience.
